First impressions

After two planes, 1,410.94 miles / 2,270,69 km and 11h of exhausting travel and Matthew's dodgy English humour we finally landed at Henri Conda International Airport. We were met by our host families and taken to various destination all over Bucharest, Matthew and Hanna with the Tigau family, Niall with the Radoi family and Ellie with the Mischie family.

After a good night's sleep we met up at Olga Gudynn International School's main campus at Pipera, where we were met by various members of staff including Dana Efstate (Director of admissions) and Christina Binciu (English Teacher). After introductions we were taken on a tour around the various sites in which we would each be working.
Our first impressions were of a very friendly people and atmosphere, with excellent facilities
(Niall: "They've got a pool!!!")  and students aged 10 whose English was probably better than ours!

See below photos of the day!
